As a thought leader in the introduction and development of cannabis in The Bahamas, over the last five years, Glenwood Ferguson has traveled the United States and other territories where the industry has been implemented successfully to learn more about cannabis and how it can impact a country’s economy. He has even worked and trained in a major dispensary in Tulsa, Oklahoma; The Greenwood Cure that sits in the historic district also known as ‘Black Wall Street. His major goal is to create resources that educate consumers in various aspects of the rapidly expanding cannabis industry. Mr. Ferguson is focused on the local market’s needs and opportunities that will better assist the public in learning more about cannabis, rather than just focusing on the lucrative/profitable side of the industry. In order to end the war on drugs, Mr. Ferguson believes in removing the stigma that surrounds this controversial plant and giving every Bahamian and advocates who desire to know more about the plant a chance to learn how it benefits the whole body and also how it can stimulate small island nation economies. The cannabis industry is represented in basically every aspect of the economy, from accounting, insurance, marketing, banking and payment processing, storage, packaging, dosing equipment, legal resources, investment resources, and more. Mr. Ferguson’s hope is to inspire Bahamians to not only focus on the ‘smoking and
recreation’ aspect of marijuana, but to diversify their mindsets to focus on how it affects the markets broadly to the benefit of all involved.
